In search mode, you can also search by keyword, advertiser, or publisher. All three of these searches are very useful to affiliates.

Using the keyword search mode, you can determine who your competitors are in a given category. For example, if you are promoting make up, you can search for various relevant keywords (like mascara, make up, lipstick) to see who your rivals are in the makeup niche. The advertiser search mode will help you learn more about your competitor’s ads by inserting their URLs. Finally, the publisher search mode is useful if you are trying to analyze how other businesses/individuals are promoting their ads.


As for their filters, AdSector allows you to make very detailed searches. Some of their filters include: country, type (image of video), gender, relationship status, and age. Using these filters, you can find relevant ads that are being targeted towards a similar audience as you are targeting.

Using their tool, you can easily access the large amounts of data you require to optimize your campaign. The tool not only has a wealth of data, it is also extremely easy to navigate.

Adspy’s platform has a ton of filters you can choose from in order to make a detailed search. Some of their filters include the following:

The primary struggle that affiliates have with a lot of Facebook Spy Tools is that they cannot seem to filter down to relevant affiliate ads, as the tools are often cluttered with ads from large brands and agencies that they are simply not interested in.

How are the search results presented?

Once you have narrowed down your search, all your search results are presented below the filters. You will also be able to see when the ad was created and which date it was last seen, and how many likes and comments it has received.

How Do AdSector and AdSpy Compare to One Another?

Both tools offer an “Affiliate Network” filter, so you can select your favorite networks and see which offers affiliates are running there. Unfortunately for both Adsector and AdSpy this filter isn’t very well maintained, and some large useful networks are missing. They also don’t seem to keep the filter up-to-date, and so networks that rotate tracking domains frequently have a lot of ads missing that should have actually been returned.

One of the main differentiating features between the two tools is that AdSector currently only provides data for Desktop ads, whereas AdSpy currently only provides data for Mobile ads. Depending on your advertising strategy, this may factor into which you choose to try. That said, a lot of people use broad targeting on their advertisements and simply advertise to both, so you’ll see some overlap between the tools. Additionally, Adspy includes Instagram advertisements, whereas AdSector does not.
